Patti Boulaye at UNAIDS Launch

Over 20 eminent women and men including Patti Boulaye the President/Founder of SFA have united to create The Global Coalition on Women and AIDS. The UNAIDS initiative aims to stimulate action on a number of fronts, including violence against women, HIV prevention for girls, and greater access to HIV care and treatment. The initiative was launched in London on Mon, 2 February 04.

Patti says I hope this coalition will not be another talking shop but will also provide practical and effective help that will promote mutual respect and a global sense of responsibility between men and women in the fight against AIDS.

The Global Coalition on Women and AIDS is a new initiative made up of activists, government representatives, community workers and celebrities, that seek to stimulate concrete action on the ground to improve the daily lives of women and girls.
